Print and copy shops

PDFs and Word files, without the email back-and-forth.

SendToShop gives print and copy shops one QR for documents and photos, so customers stop emailing files or handing over USB sticks. Turn on “Accept documents” in your settings, and PDFs and Word files arrive as easily as photos.

Print and copy shops: common questions

How do print shops receive files from customers?

Most still use email, WhatsApp or USB sticks. With SendToShop the customer scans a QR on your counter and sends PDFs, Word files or photos from the phone, and they land in a folder on your PC with their order number. It is print shop file transfer software with nothing for the customer to install.

Can customers say how each document should print?

Yes. Turn on print choices and customers choose colour or black & white, single or double-sided, copies, pages, paper size and finishing for each document. You see the choices on the order, with an estimated price if you show prices, and a print-instructions file lands in the order’s folder.

Can customers send print files without WhatsApp?

Yes. The QR opens a page in the phone’s browser, so customers send straight to your PC without sharing your WhatsApp number, and the files are not compressed on the way.

Does QR code file transfer work for documents as well as photos?

Yes. Turn on “Accept documents” in Settings and customers can send PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OpenDocument, RTF and text files. You see each PDF’s page count and page size, and password-protected PDFs are flagged before you print. Design files (Illustrator, EPS, CorelDRAW, Photoshop) come with photos.

Can customers send videos and audio for editing?

Yes, on Pro. Turn on “Accept videos” or “Accept audio” in Settings, and raise the largest file size: phone videos are about 400 MB a minute in 4K. Files go in parts and carry on after a dropped signal, and with Wi-Fi mode they go straight to your PC over the shop Wi-Fi. Where a video was filmed is removed on the phone before it is sent.
