5 ways to cut counter queues on a Saturday
Short answer: get files off phones before customers reach the counter, call orders by number, check quality before you print, let a hot folder do the copying, and give Wi-Fi to the corners with no signal.
1. Let customers send while they queue
Put your QR where people wait: on the counter, by the door, in the window. If customers send while they queue, the photos are already on your PC when they reach you. For big orders, they can send from home and choose Collect later.
2. Call numbers, not names
Every order gets a short number, such as A27, shown big on the customer’s phone and on your board. Nobody spells a name or scrolls through a stranger’s photos.
3. Check quality before you print
Reprints are the hidden queue. The quality badge tells you whether a photo will print sharply at the size asked for, so you can ask for a better copy while the customer is still there.
4. Let a hot folder do the copying
Point your lab or print software at the SendToShop save folder. Files go from the phone to the print queue without anyone dragging them across.
5. Fix the signal black spots
If phones struggle in your shop, Pro’s Wi-Fi mode lets them send over your own Wi-Fi, even with the internet down.
Questions
Do customers need to install anything?
No. They scan the QR with the phone’s camera and send from a web page. There is no app and no account.
