Choose what customers send and what you ask them
These settings change what your customers see on their phone. You can change them in the dashboard or in the shop app.
About 3 minutes.

Open the receiving settings
On app.sendtoshop.com, open Settings: the Receiving tab says what customers can send, Customer details what they fill in, and Choices and prices the sizes and options they pick. In the shop app it is Settings → Receiving.
- 2
Name and phone number
On Customer details, choose Optional (the default), Required or Don’t ask for each. The note (such as “2 copies of each, 6×4”) has the same choice.

What customers can send
Photos are on at first; documents, videos and audio are off until you turn them on. “Accept documents” takes PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OpenDocument, RTF, text and CSV files. On Pro, “Accept videos” and “Accept audio” take phone videos and recordings, for editing jobs. Keep at least one on.

Photo sizes and products
With “Accept photos” on, turn on “Ask customers for sizes”. You start with Prints, Poster, Canvas, Frame and Passport photo; rename them, switch any off, add your own (a mug, an acrylic print) and tick the sizes each one comes in. The list has the common sizes (4×6 to 24×36 in, A5 to A2, passport); add your own under “Your own sizes”. Customers choose a product, a size and copies for each photo, and either crop it to fill the size (they move a frame over the photo) or keep the whole photo with a white border. The Shop app saves a ready-to-print copy next to each photo, shows whether it has enough pixels for that size, and lists everything in the order’s print instructions file. Photos the customer didn’t crop are centred, and say so. Each product follows the photo’s orientation unless you set it to always portrait or always landscape (the passport photo starts portrait). A product can ask up to four more questions, its options: Prints start with Finish (Gloss, Matte), Canvas with Edge and Frame with Frame colour. Change the choices, remove them or add your own, like Paper: Satin, Photo rag. Customers start on the first choice, so nobody has to answer. Customers see what will print before they send, and a warning when a photo may look blurry at the size they chose. In the Shop app, Check crop shows the whole photo with the frame next to what will print: move, zoom or turn the frame and save it, and the print copy is made again. Print sends the print copy with the customer’s copies filled in. Customers can also rotate, flip, add a filter (B&W, Vintage, Warm, Cool, Vivid) or brighten a photo with Edit; in the Shop app, Check and edit adds straighten and sliders for brightness, contrast, saturation, exposure, temperature and sharpness. The original file is never changed: the print copy is made from it with the edits. For anything more, open the print copy in your own editor.

Print choices for documents
With “Accept documents” on, turn on “Ask how to print documents” to let customers choose colour or black & white, single- or double-sided, copies and which pages for each PDF or document. Tick the paper sizes and finishing you offer (staple, spiral binding, lamination); customers choose a paper size only when you tick two or more. Every choice has a default, so nobody has to answer. You see the choices on the order with a sheet count, and the Shop app saves them as a print instructions file in the order’s folder. No prices are shown: customers pay you when they collect.
- 6
Video and audio choices
On Pro, with “Accept videos” or “Accept audio” on, turn on “Ask what to do with videos and audio”. You start with Copy to pen drive, Burn to DVD, Print a photo from it and Edit or trim for videos, and Copy to pen drive, Burn to CD, Convert to MP3 and Make a ringtone for audio; rename them, remove any, and add your own (up to 12 each). Tick “Ask for a time” and customers can say where in the file, like 0:42 for a photo from a video or 1:10-1:30 for a ringtone. Customers tick any tasks they need for all their videos, or differently for one file; nobody has to tick anything. You see the tasks on the order, and the Shop app lists them in the order’s print instructions file.
- 7
Prices
Prices are optional and shown to customers as they choose: a price for each photo size, an extra for an option (like +₹100 for a wooden frame), a price per printed page in black & white or colour, each finish, and each video or audio task. Leave a box blank and that choice shows no price. Customers see an estimated total before they send, and pay you when they collect; you see the same total on the order. Prices are kept with each order as they were, so changing them later does not change earlier orders. Choose the currency, or hide prices or the total, in Settings › Choices and prices.

Largest file
Choose from 10 MB to 5 GB per file (50 MB unless you change it). Phone videos are about 400 MB a minute in 4K, so choose 1 GB or more if you take videos. An order can hold up to 200 files.

If a customer asks you to delete their details
Open one of their orders and choose More → “Erase customer’s details” in the shop app (on the dashboard, the owner’s “Erase this customer’s details”). Their name, phone, email and notes go from all their orders, on every PC and the dashboard; the files and order numbers stay. It can’t be undone.
