Install the shop app on Windows

The shop app receives your orders and saves the files to a folder on your PC. It takes about five minutes to set up.

About 5 minutes.

  1. 1

    Download and install

Download the installer from the Download page and run it. Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. Install it for all users (it asks for administrator rights) so it can also add the firewall rule Wi-Fi mode needs.

  2. 2

If Windows says “Windows protected your PC”

SmartScreen shows this for programs it has not seen often yet. Click “More info”, check the publisher is named (not “Unknown publisher”), then “Run anyway”. If an antivirus program holds the installer, allow it; the app only writes to the folder you choose.

  3. 3

Choose whether it starts with Windows

“Start SendToShop when I sign in to Windows” is ticked for you, so orders arrive even if nobody opens the app. You can change this later in the shop app under Settings → Devices → “Start SendToShop with the computer”.

  4. 4

    Get a pairing code

On app.sendtoshop.com, open Devices and choose “Add a PC”. You get a 6-digit code that works for 5 minutes.

  5. 5

    Pair the PC

The shop app opens on “Pair this PC” after a short start-up screen. Type a name for this PC, such as “Counter PC”, and the pairing code.

  6. 6

    Walk through the set-up

Four short steps: check your shop’s name and country, pick the save folder, say how customers send (mobile data, your shop Wi-Fi, or both) and print your QR code. You can change any of it later in Settings.

  7. 7

    Choose the save folder

Pick an empty or new folder for orders; one that already holds SendToShop orders from another shop is refused, so two shops’ files never mix. Each order goes into a dated subfolder, such as 2026-09-30/A27_Oliver.

  8. 8

    Find it in the tray

Closing the window keeps the app running in the tray, next to the clock, so orders still arrive. Right-click the tray icon to open it again or to quit. Windows may ask once to allow it through the firewall: allow it on private and public networks, or Wi-Fi mode cannot receive.
