Install the shop app on a Mac
The shop app works the same on a Mac as on Windows: it receives orders, saves the files to a folder and can run Wi-Fi mode.

Download and install
Download the Mac installer from the Download page and open it. You need macOS 12 or later. The installer puts SendToShop in your Applications folder; open it from there or from Launchpad.

If macOS will not open it
A message that the app “cannot be checked for malicious software” means the download was interrupted or came from somewhere other than sendtoshop.com: download it again from the Download page. If macOS still refuses, open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down and click “Open Anyway”.

Pair the Mac
On app.sendtoshop.com, open Devices and choose “Add a PC”. Type the 6-digit code into the shop app within 5 minutes, with a name for this Mac. The set-up that follows has four short steps: shop details, save folder, how customers send and your QR code.

Choose the save folder, and allow access to it
Pick an empty or new folder for orders. The first time the app saves into Desktop, Documents or Downloads, macOS asks whether SendToShop may access that folder: click Allow, or no files will arrive. To change your answer later: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Files and Folders → SendToShop. iPhone HEIC photos get a JPG copy next to them, made with the converter built into macOS.

Allow notifications
macOS asks once whether SendToShop may send notifications. Allow it to hear about new orders while the window is hidden. Change it later in System Settings → Notifications.

Keep it running
Closing the window keeps the app running in the menu bar, so orders still arrive; click its icon there to open it, or choose Quit to stop it. “Start SendToShop with the computer” (Settings → Devices) adds it to System Settings → General → Login Items, so it comes back after a restart.
