Allow Wi-Fi mode through the firewall
In Wi-Fi mode, phones on your Wi-Fi connect to the shop app on port 8787. Windows Firewall must let them in on your private network.
About 3 minutes.
- 1
The installer’s rule
When the app is installed for all users, the installer adds an inbound rule called “SendToShop Wi-Fi mode” for TCP port 8787 on private networks. Uninstalling removes it.
- 2
Make your shop Wi-Fi a private network
In Windows Settings → Network & internet, open your Wi-Fi and set the network profile to Private. The rule does not apply on public networks.
- 3
If you installed just for yourself
The rule needs administrator rights, so it is only added when the app is installed for all users. Run the installer again and install it for all users, or allow SendToShop on private networks when Windows asks.
- 4
If you changed the port
The rule covers port 8787 only. If you set another port in Settings → Receiving, ask whoever looks after your PC to allow that port too, and print the Wi-Fi QR again.
